Six Steps To Quick Weight Loss

Overnight weight loss only exists in the imagination. There are, however, several things that you can do that will help speed up the process of removing that unwanted weight that you have collected over the years. Follow these six steps and your weight loss will seem like it happened overnight.

1. Remove your hand from the donut. Nothing single handedly points out more flaws in the modern fast food type of environment that the modern world presents than the donut. It is fried, filled with refined carbohydrates in the form of white flour, loaded with sugar, and completely devoid of any significant nutritional value. Foods like donuts have to be completely eliminated if you want to see the pounds start to come off. Make the move toward whole grain breakfast foods, your body will thank you.

2. Bulk it up. No, not in the gym, in the kitchen. Fiber is an extremely important factor in the body’s ability to shed those extra pounds and in the waste removal process to get rid of all of those nasty substances that burning body fat is releasing. Try adding a little bit to each meal in the form of flax seeds or wheat bran. It will also have the added benefit of making you feel full sooner resulting in consuming fewer calories.

3. Eat more. Not more calories, but rather more often. Divide your daily caloric intake down into smaller meals and spread them throughout your day instead of the age old three meal a day routine. Just spreading out the calories this way has made a big difference in the weight loss programs of many people. And you will feel hungry a lot less often.

4. Keep things wet. Drink your water. And when you have finished with it drink some more. Along with fiber the water will help your body flush out all of the toxins that burning body fat releases. It will also make you fell less hungry. Dehydration is one of the most common reasons for a person feeling hungry. Stay hydrated with at least a half gallon of quality drinking water a day. A gallon would be better.

5. Both sides of the coin. When it comes to exercise do not listen to anyone who tells you that one kind or the other is better for you. In order to lose weight you will need both kinds of exercise in your program, aerobic and weight training. Alternate them rather than try to get both in on the same day. And take one day a week off because even though exercise is vital it is possible to overdo it.

6. Numbers lie so don’t believe them. Stop weighting yourself everyday. It is only going to drive you crazy. Your weight is going to fluctuate on a daily basis, even during the course of a day, due to many complicated factors. Limit weighing yourself to no more than once a week. How you feel, how you look, and how your clothes fit you are much more accurate ways of determining if your weight loss program is working.
